Anne Hasbrouck, B.S.

J. Anne Hasbrouck is a graduate of Boise State University with a degree in Psychology. Anne has a diverse work history involving social services. This includes being a statistical and legislative research assistant for a private company in the state of Idaho, working as a job coach with international refugees, providing residential services in a local women’s and children’s shelter and now at Southworth Associates. Anne firmly believes addiction and mental health issues don’t discriminate and affect any and all walks of life. She began her work at Southworth Associates as a Case Manager/Compliance Monitor in the Recovery Enhancement Program, and after growing in that position for a period of time, Anne realized that she wanted the opportunity to “take care of the caretakers” and took on a management position within the company. Anne also takes special focus in family services, and is no stranger to effects of addiction on families and loved ones. She’s drawn to being part of a network, whether it’s continuing education, services promotion or community networking. Initially her management responsibilities were to support staff and developing the programs in the local office in Boise, but as of lately she’s also begun participating in operations and business development.

William J. Hofstra, B.S., B.F.A.

For Bill Hofstra, working in chemical dependency recovery and treatment, especially as a compliance monitor with the Idaho State Medical Boards, requires the acceptance of dual responsibilities: Engagement with the health care needs of his clients along with the responsibility of protecting public safety. The task is oftentimes a fine tightrope on which to balance, as working with people in recovery requires acute perception of the specific needs of the individual, coinciding with the carefully measured point at which return to the medical profession is justified. Though it is Bill’s wish that all his clients succeed in personal recovery, with returning to the professional environment as a hallmark of that recovery, great wisdom must be placed in assisting his clients with selecting the right moments of progression in return to the workplace.

At the end of the day, Bill continues to work diligently with, and empathizes with the struggles of his clients who may not be progressing as quickly as they wish to be, and he shares in the success of those clients who have made the hurdle to a secure level of recovery; the fresh beginning during which the privilege is gained to continue excellence in professional life.

Stacy Davidson, B.A.

Stacy Davidson is a graduate of Indiana University with a degree in Criminal Justice and a focus on psychology. Stacy’s interest in the field of addiction developed in college during an internship under the county Prosecutor. This experience helped Stacy refocus her passion as she understood she no longer wanted to be involved in the punitive aspect of the legal system. The following summer she came to Boise to direct her studies in Criminal Justice specifically towards clients struggling with addiction. She interned under a Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Specialist at Probation and Parole learning how to facilitate aftercare groups and promote positive change. Having worked in the legal system, Stacy finds her job as Case Manager at Southworth Associates rewarding as she is able to provide her clients and their families with a much more positive alternative.
